Sonya’s Garden Bed & Breakfast, Tagaytay

Sonya’s Garden has long been a family favorite for road trips. This bed and breakfast and restaurant is one of the most romantic getaways near the metro. It’s actually the first place I think of whenever someone mentions Tagaytay. With all the new establishments, hotels and Metro Manila chains that have set up in Tagaytay. Sonya’s Garden still offers a refreshing escape where you can enjoy healthy meals in a lush garden setting.

There are lots of romantic spots and benches set amidst hanging vines and tree branches ideal for photo ops as well as lots of Instagram-worthy details like flowers in bowls of water, mosaic tiles and rare plants.

The romantic setting has made Sonya’s Garden a very popular honeymoon and destination wedding venue, as well as a getaway for Valentine’s Day, proposals and other special occasions.

While it may no longer be the elusive “secret garden” it once was years ago, it’s always pleasant to stop by here when you’re in Tagaytay. Walk around the landscaped brick walkways, get a massage at Sonya’s spa, or stop by the panaderia for freshly made bread.

The restaurant in Sonya’s Garden is known for serving healthy vegetarian fare, mostly harvested from their greenhouse and gardens. They serve a set buffet menu for lunch or dinner composed of garden salad greens, bread, pasta, dessert and beverages.

Special orders can be made for other dishes like braised chicken with potatoes or roast chicken. There are also buffet breakfast options like daing na bangus, eggs, and chicken & pork adobo available for non-vegetarians.

New additions include a country store that sells organic produce, a furniture store that sells antiques and shabby-chic items, and a country store and souvenir shop that sells eco-friendly and handcrafted products.

Sonya’s Garden is located in Barangay Buck Estate, Alfonso, Cavite (near the vicinity of Tagaytay City), Philippines.
