5 unique activities and party venues in Manila

Looking for fun indoor activities for the whole family this holiday season? Or maybe you’ve been tasked to organize your barkada reunion, entertain balikbayan relatives, or come up with suggestions for team-building office parties. In case you’re looking for an alternative to holding a formal dinner event, eating out at a restaurant, or hosting a party at home, mall-based attractions can provide hassle-free entertainment for guests of any age.

Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque, Ayala’s largest mall to date, offers various leisure activities you can enjoy all in one mall, in fun event spaces that are also open for kid’s birthday parties, barkada hangouts, private functions, and corporate events. Here’s a look at just five unique activities you can do there and possible venues for your next gathering.

Travel and taste the country through a food-themed museum

Food Wanderer is a modern art museum where visitors can taste and travel around the Philippines through interactive exhibits and experiences. Formerly known as Lakbay Museo and located in S Maison, the museum highlights the unique food culture in the country.

Visitors can learn more about the different regional specialties, like types of pancit, coffee varieties, and more through educational displays. While going around the museum, visitors can also sample some specialties like sago gulaman, street food, fish crackers with different types of sawsawan, try shots of local lambabog (adults only), and try eating exotic food.

There are also activity areas, where anyone can try their hand at different arts and crafts, learn to paint, make bead art, or cook. The museum has a kitchen for baking local delicacies that can be booked for special events. The games, prizes, interactive activities, and cultural show at the end make it ideal for family visits, school field trips, friends, and international travelers.

The whole space is also open as a venue for private events and group tours. You can book function rooms at Food Wanderer exclusively for birthdays, corporate events, seminars, photo shoots, school tours, and more.

But arcade parties aren’t just for kids and teens. Instead of holding a formal dinner event, you could book TimeZone’s event space for a corporate party and bonding activity instead.
