Disney Adventure cruise ship from Singapore: Everything you need to know

As someone who grew up watching and loving Disney animated classics, sailing aboard the Disney Adventure cruise ship from Singapore felt like a fairy tale come true. Exploring the cruise line’s first-ever ship to sail in Southeast Asia made me feel like a kid again.

A little backstory, like many others in my generation, I grew up watching animated classics during the “Disney Renaissance” era. I distinctly remember seeing The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King for the first time in movie theaters, watching the magic unfold on screen. Everyone who grew up with these animated classics dreamed of storybook worlds and going to Disneyland.

It wasn’t until I was older that I got to experience the magic in Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland with my family, mainly for the benefit of my young nephew. These locations are the most accessible for those based in my home country, the Philippines.

So to be invited by Disney Cruises Lines to experience the Disney Adventure for the media/preview sailing was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up.

It’s not every day you get to meet characters from your childhood and real-life superheroes like Iron Man up close. Robert Downey Jr., who played Tony Stark. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, was named the Godparent of Disney Adventure. Iron Man himself was flown in for the star-studded christening ceremony ahead of the ship’s maiden voyage!

As a first-time Disney Cruiser, I was blown away by the magic of the cruise ship at every turn. For five wonderful days, I got to live out my Disney Princess dreams. We watched dazzling Broadway-style performances, immersed in different multiverses of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel shows all around the ship, and enjoyed incredible interactive dining experiences. There’s just so much to see and do on the ship that it can be quite overwhelming once you’re there.

To help those planning to take this cruise, I’ve put together a guide of what to expect, the entertainment on board, the dining options, a look at the staterooms, and all the cruise inclusions of the Disney Adventure, based on our firsthand experience from the media/preview sailing. But first, some basics.

What is the Disney Adventure?

The Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line’s first vessel to homeport in Southeast Asia, making cruises more accessible to those based in the Asia and Pacific regions. It is currently the largest vessel in the fleet and can carry about 6,700 passengers. Its maiden voyage began on March 10, 2026, departing from the Marina Bay Cruise Center in Singapore.

Where does the Disney Adventure sail?

Unlike traditional cruises that involve port excursions, the Disney Adventure is designed as a destination-at-sea experience, with the ship being the main attraction. For this cruise, there are no Port Adventures (for now). The cruise starts and ends in Singapore, which is a key travel hub with direct non-stop flights across Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America.

For Filipino travelers, Singapore is a visa-free destination accessible by direct or connecting flights from major hubs like Manila, Angeles/Clark, Cebu, Iloilo and Davao, with a flight time of approximately 3.5 to 4 hours.

How many days is the Disney Adventure cruise?

The Disney Adventure is offering 3- and 4-night voyages starting and ending in Singapore. It’s scheduled to operate from this homeport for at least five years.

Is the Disney Adventure good for first-time cruisers?

Yes! Disney promotes the ship as family-friendly and beginner-friendly, with guided activities, kids’ clubs, and easy cruise planning tools. While the ship is huge, it’s easy to navigate with all the signs on every floor. The hospitality team is excellent and they go out of their way to make everyone feel special from the moment you step onboard till you leave.

With Captain Mickey and travel buddy Mica

It’s worth noting that all Disney Cruise Line ships, including Disney Adventure, do not have casinos. So you can expect only family-friendly fun and wholesome activities along with great food and experiences.

How much does it cost to sail on the Disney Adventure cruise?

Cruise fares are dynamic and fluctuate based on the itinerary and room category. The Disney Adventure cruise price depends on the cabin type, your travel dates and demand, and the number of passengers sharing a room. Scroll to the end of this article for sample rates for upcoming sailings.

Disney Adventure’s Themed Areas

The Disney Adventure has seven themed areas, each offering immersive experiences and dining inspired by Disney, Marvel, and Pixar stories.

Disney Imagination Garden

This large courtyard at the heart of the ship is where the magic happens. This is where you can find the large stage where iconic performances like Let’s Set Sail and Avengers Assemble! are held. It also has some great quick service restaurants inspired by The Jungle Book and Moana serving regional cuisine.

Disney Discovery Reef

This open-air area at the back of the ship brings the tales of The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Lilo & Stitch to life. This is where you can find some of the best free snack options on the ship like burgers and Mediterranean street food. It also leads to the premium dining spots inspired by Luca and Monsters Inc.

Marvel Landing

This superpowered adventure zone is where you can find the three theme park style rides like Groot Galaxy Spin, Pym Quantum Racers, and the Ironcycle Test Run, the first-ever roller coaster aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship.

San Fransokyo Street

This indoor urban-themed area combines the energy of Tokyo and San Francisco as seen in Big Hero 6. You can find the cinemas, arcades, gaming lounges, and secret youth club hangouts here.

Town Square

Inspired by Disney Princesses and classic fairytale worlds, this magical space near the main lobby (Guest Services) is a central meeting point with a stage doubling as a venue for live music and fun workshops. You can find great buffet options for breakfast and lunch around this area as well as the main Walt Disney Theatre.

Toy Story Place

Taking cues from the Toy Story films, this kid-friendly area on the upper decks contains the water-based attractions like the Sunnyside Family Pool, Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides, the Flying Saucer Splash Zone, the Toy Story Splash Pad, and  whirlpool spas.

Wayfinder Bay

This outdoor Moana-inspired oasis at the aft or back of the ship is one of the best spots to relax, take a dip, enjoy drinks, and chill out. The pool area, which features a huge screen, also doubles as a unique stage for live shows and music.

What entertainment and shows are available on the ship?

While aboard the Disney Adventure, guests can enjoy dazzling Broadway-style live shows, deck parties, fireworks at sea, and meet and greet photo ops with various characters from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories.

To kick off our journey, we watched Disney Seas the Adventure, a fun musical show featuring iconic Disney tunes, character appearances, and performances from Frozen, Tangled, Finding Nemo, Hercules, and more.

Disney Adventure is the only cruise line that offers fireworks at sea, and it was amazing watching The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, which combines a fireworks show set to songs from The Lion King.

Kids can enjoy watching Duffy and The Friend Ship, an all-new live show on the Garden Stage at Disney Imagination Garden. Baymax Super Exercise Expo features a high-energy musical exercise routine for those who need to burn off all those buffet meals.

We also caught Moana: Call of the Sea, a unique musical retelling of the movie performed on a swimming pool stage of Wayfinder Bay.

I was blown away by Avengers Assemble!, an action-packed battle performance featuring favorite Marvel Super Heroes and Villains held at the Disney Imagination Garden. The show really utilized the vertical space and open spaces in creative ways that had the audience in awe.

The major show highlight was Remember, a musical tale starring the lovable robots from Pixar’s WALL-E and a cast of heroes and princesses from various Disney and Pixar animated films. The costume design and props here were astounding. This is Disney’s first run of the show, and it’s really special.

What are the restaurants on the Disney Adventure?

Is food included on Disney Adventure? Yes! All the meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) in most restaurants are part of the ticket price of the cruise and offer unlimited servings.

While on board, guests can enjoy a vast array of dining experiences from casual fare in movie-themed restaurants to fine dining with interactive experiences. The ship features new themed dining experiences and international cuisine, including Asian-inspired options in the set menus for the regional market. You’ll also get three distinct Disney dining experiences for dinner as part of the rotational schedule.

I’ll write more about our restaurant experiences and my top food picks, but here’s a shortlist of the dining options.

Navigator’s Club

An elegant maritime-themed restaurant serving a mix of international and regional dishes, with set three-course meals where guests can enjoy interactive character experiences while they dine.

Enchanted Summer Restaurant

Inspired by Tangled and Frozen, this offers a great buffet selection for breakfast and lunch, and a diverse menu and plated dinners.

Pixar Market Restaurant

A casual buffet restaurant with ocean views that provides a wide selection of international specialties and plant-based offerings.

Animator’s Palate

This elegant dining spot offers one of the most creative interactive dinners that celebrates the filmmaking legacy of Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. This is a must-visit!

Hollywood Spotlight Club

This glamorous Art Deco inspired dinner club celebrates Hollywood’s Golden Age with live appearances and character interactions.

Quick-service restaurants & free snacks

To cater to the new market in Southeast Asia, the restaurants aboard the cruise ship infused Asian flavors and ingredients with the typical Western classics. Some restaurants offer regional specialties (Indian, Asian & Pacific) and consider the dietary requirements of passengers who are most likely to sail from this region (including vegetarian, gluten-free, halal and Jain options).

The quick-service eateries are great for snacks or as an alternative brunch, lunch, or dinner venue if you’re feeling too full for buffet or heavy-set meals. The snacks, drinks and quick-service eateries are also completely free during your cruise.

Pizza Planet

Modeled after the iconic pizza arcade in Pixar’s Toy Story, this joint near the pool serves delicious pizza (including plant-based sausage pizza) by the slice.

Wheezy’s Freezies

This stall, named after the penguin in Pixar’s Toy Story 2, offers refreshing soft-serve ice cream. You can get various flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and swirl flavors.

Cosmic Kebabs

This fun snack spot celebrating Ms. Marvel (aka Kamala Khan, the first Muslim-American Super Hero in the Marvel Universe) serves Mediterranean-inspired street food like shawarma, kebabs, pitas, and hummus.

Stitch’s Ohana Grill

The Hawaiʻi’s North Shore surf shack, straight out of Lilo & Stitch, offers classic American bites like burgers, fries, and hearty sandwiches. I loved the Angus Burger with blue cheese here.

Gramma Tala’s Kitchen

Inspired by Moana, this quick-service restaurant offers tropical flavors of the Pacific and Asia.

Mowgli’s Eatery

Inspired by The Jungle Book, this spot serves Indian cuisine and vegetarian options.

24-Hour Room Service

In case you want to enjoy breakfast on your private balcony or want a midnight snack, you can easily order room service 24 hours a day! Room service is also free.

Premium Dining

While all the free meals you can get on the cruise already offer amazing value, guests who want exclusivity can elevate their dining experience at two premium restaurants. Reservations are required, and additional fees apply.

Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia

A premium (yet family-friendly) Japanese dining area with 4 distinct dining options: a full-service Japanese steakhouse, a Teppanyaki room, Omakase-style dining, and an outdoor sushi-sashimi experience. The concept comes from Harryhausen, a high-end Japanese sushi restaurant in Monstropolis that Mike Wazowski struggles to get a reservation for in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.

Palo Trattoria

Upscale restaurant influenced by a dream sequence from Luca which offers classic Northern Italian cuisine, including antipasti, pasta, pizza, seafood, and steaks. Exclusively for adults.

Where can you drink on the cruise ship?

Disney Adventure has several bars, cafes, and lounges on the ship where passengers can enjoy crafted specialty coffees, premium teas, beer, cocktails, and other creative drinks. Like the restaurants, the stand-alone cafes and bars have their own unique ambiance and signature Disney charm.

Alley Cat Cafe, a snack bar in San Fransokyo Street near the Baymax Cinema inspired by Aunt Cass’s bakery and coffee shop in Big Hero 6 is a great place to get specialty coffee. Spellbound, inspired by the Evil Queen from Snow White, serves bewitching cocktails and concoctions.

One of the coolest spots on the ship is The Marvel Style Studios, which transforms into a speakeasy with premium drinks available only at night.

Other bars to check out include Buccaneer Bar, a sports bar that pays homage to Captain Hook from Peter Pan. Infinity Bar features cocktails named after the different Infinity Stones (Space, Mind, Power, Time, Reality, and Soul).

One of our favorites was Tiana’s Bayou Lounge, which references The Princess and the Frog, since it was centrally located on the ship, had charging ports for phones, and offered a chill spot to listen to live music.

I’ll be writing a separate article about all the bars and lounges soon, but here’s a short list and their locations! 🙂

  • Alley Cat Cafe. Deck 7, Aft
  • Bewitching Boba & Brew. Deck 10, Aft

What do the accommodations look like on the Disney Adventure?

So, what do the regular staterooms look like on the cruise ship? Disney Adventure offers various staterooms and suites designed for relaxation and comfort. We stayed in a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with a Veranda, one of the most popular room types.

Designed for couples and families, this type of stateroom sleeps up to 4 guests and has a private balcony offering breathtaking views of either the ocean, Disney Imagination Garden, or Disney Discovery Reef. I found it very comfortable and much larger than expected.

There was a spacious sitting area, fold out bed and pull-out table if you plan to dine inside the room. The split type bathroom has a vanity, sink, shower and a half bathroom with its own vanity, sink and toilet.

As part of the media/preview sailing, I also had a chance to check out some other staterooms during the open house tours. Most rooms are ideal for 2 to 4 pax with a double bed and a sofa that turns into a folding bed. There’s a curtain that you can draw in the middle of the room if you want privacy between the sleeping areas. Some rooms are best for families, with spaces designed with accessibility features and larger bathrooms.

If you don’t mind not having a view in your room, the Inside Staterooms with bunk beds are the most affordable options for groups of friends traveling together. You’ll likely be spending most of your time outside the room anyway and only coming back to rest or sleep and you get all the same inclusions in terms of food and use of public spaces.

What are Concierge Suites & Staterooms?

Aside from the standard and deluxe staterooms, the Disney Adventure has specialty themed Disney rooms under their Concierge class. Suites here are more luxurious and spacious, while still being inspired by elements from Disney and Marvel properties, like Aladdin, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers and more.

The Elsa Stateroom, inspired by the world of Arendelle from Frozen, is the most expensive suite on the Disney Adventure.

The lavish suites offer exclusive perks like priority boarding, exclusive access to a private Concierge lounge and sundeck, deluxe Disney touches, luxury shopping, first-class spa services, gourmet bites, premium fitness facilities, and the attention of a dedicated team for your entire voyage, for a higher price.

What are the shops on the Disney Adventure?

Guests can take home the magic and enjoy onboard shopping for exclusive Disney and Marvel merchandise. Exclusive merch and co-branded items from top brands like National Geographic, TWG Tea and Bacha Coffee can only be found on the Disney Adventure.

  • World of Disney
  • World of Disney Too
  • Duffy and Friends Store
  • National Geographic Store
  • Treasures Untold
  • Marvel Style Studio
  • Bibbidi Bobbido Boo Boutique
  • Diamonds and Wishes
  • Bacha Coffee
  • TWG Tea

Who is the Disney Adventure cruise for?

With the wide range of activities and dining options on board, the Disney Adventure will appeal to families, couples, groups of friends traveling together, foodie travelers, and even solo travelers. While families with kids may be the main market, you don’t need to be traveling with kids to enjoy this trip. Many areas are ideal for relaxation or offer exclusive adults-only spaces.

If you’re the designated travel planner in your family, you’ll find cruises relaxing, as it takes the stress away from having to plan everything. The handy Disney Navigator App displays the daily schedule of activities and dining options, allowing you to browse, choose, and make reservations for your group directly from your device.

Parents with young kids will also appreciate the chance to leave their kids in safe areas like Disney’s Oceaneer Club designated for their own age group. If you’re traveling with extended family or friends, you can easily go your separate ways for activities depending on your interests and regroup for mealtimes.

Personally, I found this more relaxing than visiting an amusement park since it doesn’t involve long lines for rides and you can easily go back to your room if you’re tired or if it’s still too hot outside.

What is included a Disney Adventure cruise?

  • Spacious staterooms designed with families in mind
  • Access to all the themed areas on the ship
  • All meals: Buffet breakfast, buffet /set lunch, Set dinners, Unlimited snacks, Quick-service Bites, 24-hour room service

Certain experiences or necessities will cost you extra, such as adult-exclusive dining, alcoholic beverages, specialty coffee, spas and salons, gratuities, and wireless internet access.

Disney Adventure cruise price and how to book trips

As mentioned above, cruise fares tend to fluctuate based on the sailing days and cabin category (similar to hotel rooms and airfare), so don’t expect prices to always be the same. The price depends on your preferred cabin type, travel dates, and the number of passengers sharing a room. The most affordable cabin on the Disney Adventure is the Inside Stateroom, with 4 pax sharing a room.

Here are your booking options.

Directly from Disney Cruise Line’s website

The first way to book cruises is directly through Disney Cruise Line’s official website. When I last checked, 3-night and 4-night sailings starting and ending in Singapore start at USD$ 1,100 or Php 65,381 for 2 guests for 3 nights or USD$1,412 or P83,915 for 2 guests for 4 nights. Expect higher prices for rooms with views and longer sailings. Rates will be charged in US dollars to a valid credit card.

The published rates include taxes, fees & port expenses. This excludes air travel going to Singapore, hotel accommodations pre- and post-cruise, and ground transfers. Visit disneycruise.com for more details.

Through travel partners

You can also book sailings through travel partners like Klook. Upon checking rates, their prices are listed starting from US$ 521.70 or Php 30,908 per person for a 3-night cruise and US$ 587.95 or Php 34,833 per person for a 4-night cruise. This is based on 4 people sharing an Inside Stateroom. Rates vary depending on the cabin type, number of people per room and travel dates. This also excludes air travel going to Singapore, hotel accommodations pre- and post-cruise, and ground transfers.

Through travel agencies

For Filipino travelers specifically, some Philippine-based travel agencies are also offering packages for select sailing dates. For instance, BASK Travel & Tours has a 5D/4N Fly & Cruise package on April 26-30, 2026 that starts at USD$ 1,188 or Php 70,415.14 (child rate) and USD$ 1,488 per pax or Php 88,467.48 (for adults). This rate already includes the RT flights from Manila to Singapore, 1 Night Pre-Cruise Accommodation, 1 Day Pre-Cruise City Tour in Singapore and all the transfers, Travel Insurance (Up to 75 y/o only), English-Speaking Guide & Filipino Tour Escort on top of all the inclusions of a 3-night cruise.

There’s a lot more content to share about this amazing Disney Adventure cruise experience, but I hope this covers the basics for those who are just planning their trips. Stay tuned for more in-depth articles in the weeks to come.

I’m also sharing more snippets from the trip through photos on my Facebook page: Travel Up and my personal Instagram: @karasantos. Follow the hashtag #DisneyCruiseAdventure to see other people’s experiences.
