Inflatable Island in Zambales

Inflatable Island is the biggest floating playground in Asia. Located in Olongapo City, Zambales, this seaside water park near Subic is a playground for adrenaline junkies. You can fly through the air before landing in the water in their Human Launcher, climb up a giant floating rock wall, swing from their Giant Tarzan Swing and Slide, jump on their gigantic Unicorn trampoline or just try not to fall into the water as you navigate through the crazy Wipeout-style obstacle course.

From afar, it looks chill and easy, but it’s really exciting (not to mention exhausting) once you’re actually trying everything out. You have to have really good balance just to navigate some of the sections. Just check out this video by travel blogger Ferdz Decena of Ironwulf En Route.

Inflatable Island is a 3,400 sqm island, roughly the size of 8 basketball courts. Most visitors come here on a 2-hour play pass (starts at P799 per person), though half and whole day passes are also available. But even if you just stay and try everything for an hour, you’ll already get a pretty intense workout!

Guests at Inflatable Island also get access to the Samba Beach, the Bali-inspired lounge with comfy beach beanbags and umbrellas, and the Instagram-worthy floating zoo of Unicorn, Flamingo and Swan floaters.

The floating playground at Subic Bay was the perfect setting for the launch of Bliimo, a fresh new app that aims to make it easy for travelers to find and book unique experiences around the country. Bliimo invited travel bloggers and influencers to the Boho Chic themed beach party to share what the Bliimo experience and app is all about.

Bliimo is an app geared towards tech-savvy millennial travelers, thrill seekers and adventure junkies who are looking for fun activities to do in the Philippines. I normally like to just wing it and find unique experiences for myself when I travel, but for those who like to plan all their activities in advance, Bliimo aims to put the experiences at the tip of their fingertips.

Bliimo makes unique and fun activities searchable and bookable online, so that travelers can easily pick adventures and personalize their trips in the most hassle-free way possible.

The Bucketlist feature lets users save the activities they want to try out and invite other friends to try it too. The Itinerary planning section allows users to plan their adventures by the hour and customize the arrangement of their activities every step of the way.

After planning everything, the app will allow users to book activities immediately and skip the hassles of waiting and standing in line to buy tickets or going to a place beforehand to reserve slots. You can book your adventures online and go straight to it when you get to your destination!

Before the program proper, we got to experience the Inflatable Island obstacle course, hang out by the beach and try different exciting activities provided by event partner Networx Jetsports including jet skiing, flyboarding, banana boats, dragon boat rides and the Disco Ball for groups. It was fun riding a jetski again and it was the first time I tried out the Flyboard.

(I’m not 100% sure, but I think that’s me on the Human launcher in this video clip.My GoPro first person vid is too unflattering to post)

Later that night, the event kicked off with dinner provided by Privatus dining and lots of cocktails and local craft beer from Monkey Eagle Craft Brewery (woohoo!) to go around. Three lucky winners including the first person who managed to complete all the tasks in the Inflatable Island obstacle course and those who posted the most awesome photos and videos during the event were awarded with travel packages worth 30k each to Boracay, Palawan and Siargao.

The Bliimo app is still fairly new and the developers are currently working on it to make sure it runs more smoothly. Right now, there are only a few activities listed, including Wakeboarding in Clark, Kite Boarding in Boracay, and surfing lessons in La Union. But watch out for this app in the future, as more exciting activities and experiences will be added.

Cheers to Bliimo for the successful app launch and fun beach party at Inflatable Island. I look forward to discovering and booking unique activities around the country with the app!

Bliimo is now available for download on the Google Play and App Store. Download here.
