PAL launches Manila to Perth flights starting March 2023

Dreaming of traveling to Australia this year? Philippine Airlines (PAL) is launching Manila-Perth and Perth-Manila PAL direct flights beginning March 27, 2023. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia.

Melbourne, Australia in 2019

PAL is linking the Philippines and Western Australia for the first time as the route expands the flag carrier’s presence in the Australian continent. Perth is PAL’s fourth destination in Australia. PAL currently flies to Sydney on Australia’s East Coast, Brisbane at the center of South East Queensland, and Melbourne in the state of Victoria. Perth is about 4 hours away from Sydney by domestic air carriers.

PAL Perth-Manila schedule

With a flying time of seven hours, PAL said the nonstop trip was faster than the 11-13 hours of its competitors, which need to make stopovers in another airport.

Below is the schedule for the thrice weekly flights:

  • PR 223 Manila-Perth – every Monday, Thursday and Saturday departing at 12:05 AM local time, arriving in Perth Airport at 07:15 AM

  • PR 224 Perth-Manila – every Monday, Thursday and Saturday departing at 08:30 AM local time, arriving in Manila at 03:50 PM

From Manila, PAL will fly to Perth using Airbus A321 neo long-range aircraft that will complete the trip in just seven (7) hours, saving several hours vs. having to stop over and connect in a third country.

  • Scarborough Beachhome to some of the best beaches in the country, Scarborough offers a mixture of soft sand and tidal hard sand and stunning rock pools
  • Quokka – a small furry marsupial (part of the kangaroo and wallaby family) that’s been ranked as the “world’s happiest animal”

PAL’s new look, menu, and more

In line with the airline’s 82nd Anniversary, PAL is also launching a new look, giving travelers new reasons to fly, and new experiences to enjoy.

To reflect the aircraft’s dynamism and energy as it turns 82, PAL has refreshed the visual experience with a younger, contemporary look and feel, marked by a friendlier tone for Philippine Airlines.

PAL also recently launched an anniversary menu featuring renowned Chef Vallerie Castillo-Archer. Dishes include Tiger Prawn Sinigang, Adlai Champorado, Beet Cured Salmon on Toast, Fillet Mignon and Tuna Tataki Salad, to name a few.

PAL will also be launching a new platform that will make deals more searchable online, giving travelers a more user-friendly experience and more engaging landing pages at flights.philippineairlines.com.ph.

Fly to New Discoveries Game night
